The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has received five patent and trademark applications from Meta Inc (previously Facebook) for a payment service named Meta Pay, which would also facilitate bitcoin trading and payments. Josh Gerben, a well-known trademark attorney, tweeted about it.

Meta Pay would be a financial payment and exchange platform for exchanging cryptocurrencies, virtual currency, digital currency, digital tokens, crypto tokens, digitised assets, utility tokens, and other digital assets and tokens.
