Together, ASX Sports and RugbyPass, the worldwide over-the-top digital media network operated by Sky New Zealand, will provide global rugby NFT fantasy gaming.
ASX technology will use RugbyPass data to give real-time gamification of live sports to the RugbyPass audience of over 10 million.
The ASX Sports NFT Exchange, which resembles a virtual stock market, “creates a unique second screen and OTT experience in which fans can boost the value of their player portfolios via live, any-time ‘trading,’ even in-game.”
“Through NFTs, we have established a new product-line with a concentrated emphasis on what makes rugby fans tick,” stated Neil Martin, CEO of RugbyPass.
Developing and nurturing communities based on rich, useful information is an important part of our larger aspirations and emphasis on digital services.
“We give the whole sports value chain new dimensions in commercial opportunity and brand loyalty across the rising elements of fantasy sports globally,” said Paddy Power, ASX president. We’re excited to partner with RugbyPass to deliver our technology and services to an industry ripe for disruption.”
RugbyPass’ rugby partnership portfolio includes New Zealand’s Steinlager Series and Super Rugby Aotearoa, as well as Major League Rugby in North America.
