Lamborghini is auctioning off the last Aventador Ultimae Coupé, complete with its own NFT

Lamborghini is taking advantage of the final Aventador to look ahead.

The only Aventador Ultimae Coupé produced by the carmaker will be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s later this month, according to the Raging Bull. And the winning bidder will receive more than just the historically significant automobile. They’ll also get the world’s first one-of-a-kind supercar, the NFT.

Lamborghini enlisted the assistance of NFT experts Krista Kim and DJ Steve Aoki to perfect the drop. The aesthetic design for the Aventador NFT has been entrusted to Kim, the artist who created the world’s first NFT House. Meanwhile, Aoki will provide input on the design of both the digital token and the physical car, as well as compose a custom soundtrack for each. A “meet and greet” with Kim and Aoki, as well as a visit of the Museo Lamborghini, are included with the NFT.

“I’m honoured to be working on this historic project with Lamborghini and Krista Kim!” In a statement, Aoki said, “The drop represents the ultimate intersection—where the physical world, digital art, and music come together as one.” “This car’s design is intentional in every way. I wanted my music track to represent its soulful energy—the atmosphere, the spirit, and the power—because it has its own tale.”

The automobile that comes with the NFT, on the other hand, is no slouch. The Aventador Ultimae is an appropriate send-off for one of Lamborghini’s most popular cars. It boasts a more aerodynamic body and is powered by the brand’s final naturally aspirated V-12 engine. The 6.5-liter engine produces 769 horsepower and 531 ft lbs of torque when paired to the marque’s Independent Shifting Rod seven-speed transmission. The coupé has a top speed of 220.5 mph and can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 2.8 seconds.

It’s unknown if the Aventador up for auction is one of the 15 Lamborghini models that the company promised to rebuild after a cargo ship carrying thousands of Bentleys, Porsches, and Raging Bulls sank last month. In any case, the company has stated that the vehicle offered by RM Sotheby’s is the final Ultimae Coupé. On April 19, the automobile will cross the street.

We don’t have a pre-sale estimate, but given the demand for historically significant supercars and NFTs, we expect it will sell for much more than the $498,258 asking price.
